Fernbrook Farms is a preserved 230-acre working farm that has thrived under the care of the Kuser family for three generations. The farm includes the Inn at Fernbrook, a wholesale nursery, a Community Supported Agriculture program, and the Education Center.

September 28Cowboy Camp for Buckaroos — 10 am to 3 pm
From learning to swing and handle a calf rope to roping and tying a “dummy” calf to helping a cowboy saddle his horse, this unique experience encourages children ages 7 to 10 get a first-hand view of cowboy culture. Many more activities at this day-long event. Call for special pricing and reservations as space is very limited.
October 11Campfire — 7:30 pm to 9 pm
Bring the entire family for this Fernbrook favorite. As daylight begins to fade we’ll take a wagon tour of the farm making our way to the campfire circle to share in songs, skits, games and ’smores. Admission: $6 per person
October 25 & November 1Not-So-Scary Halloween — 7 pm to 9 pm
Our Halloween celebration is fun for the whole family but especially geared for children 0-8 years old. Take a not-so-scary hayride where you’ll meet friendly characters telling you stories of the seasons. Later in the evening gather around the campfire for games, songs, skits, stories and spooky treats. This evening promises to be refreshing and unique.

November 16Farm Machinery — 10 am to 11:30 am
From simple levers to big tractors, machines are everywhere on the farm. Come learn about the tools we use to make our work a little easier and see them up close and in action when we dig a tree.

December 6Campfire — 7:30 pm to 9 pm
Warm up with friends on this late autumn evening around a Fernbrook campfire. The fun includes active games, cheerful songs and entertaining skits. Before saying good night we’ll roast ’smores for an evening snack.

December 20Campfire — 7:30 pm to 9 pm
Join us to welcome the coming season of winter with an evening of astronomy. Each person will receive their own star chart and learn how to use it to locate stars and constellations. We’ll also have the opportunity to look at distant celestial beings through our Dobson telescope.
